NorthEast Expedition : The Master Plan

Most of us generally get caught in work and then slowly first months and then years pass by and when we do get some time to breath, stop by and analyse what we have achieved we generally point to our designation, our company, what we do and what we have. We build the cocoon and want to grow old in it and some day die in it. But then some of us have that rebellion to break free from norm and then take stock of the things and do something different. What If someone ask what you wanted to do with your life and was you able to achieve it. I don’t want to be judged with another person yardstick. At the end I would like to answer myself if I have done justice with my life. The precious time when I am still capable to do things at least till I am not constrained physically.

And that’s where this trip begins as a rebellion from the comfortable cocoon to know and explore the world. To stop being a couch potato seeing others stories but to make your own stories and lasting memories for the rest of the life.

An adventure trip to travel and traverse through the wild Indian NorthEast. I booked only the tickets to go to Kolkata and to return on day one of New Year. And the rest was to be done on the fly; the initial master plan was drafted to conquer the northeast in less than 2 weeks. However, the master plan had a lot of chinks in its armor; going by it we would have required 24/7 travelling only stopping by to tick it in our checklist. But as is human nature, too ambitious and too optimistic, it’s only when the rubber meets the road you get to know the speed.  Even though it was clear that it would be hard to achieve but we still needed something to anchor our plans (just like those ambitious project managers giving unachievable targets to achieve in short time to push teams, always keeping the buffer time as secret).
