Reversing Heart Blockages - Angina

In the beginning of this year my mother complained about the feeling of chest pain and collapsing after walking for 400-500 mtrs. My mother is 56 years old with a normal BMI, does daily yoga and a vegetarian. So, it was a surprise that she had heart problems.

We showed to a interventionist cardiologist on 31 Jan 17, he took the ECG and showed abnormalities in the ECG graph and told us to contact her secretary and schedule an angiography at his hospital immediately and also gave 2 weeks medicine which included meds to control Cholestrol and blood thinners. In my family generally we are in favour of natural healing and hence I wanted to know if there can be any diet and lifestyle changes which could help to improve the condition. However, the doctors was more inclined in getting the angiogram done then about any natural healing.

Although, doctor had asked us to do the angiogram immediately but my mother was scared of medical procedure and wanted to do natural healing and so she said that the she would try to ayurvedic medicines for 2 months, do yoga and lifestyle changes and see if it improved her medical condition. In the mean time, even I had my baby girl born in Feb and it became too hectic.

She started taking Hrudyamrit and arogyardhini vati. Started doing every day morning  pranayam, kapabati, anolom vilom. Also, we started taking Olive oil and garlic in our diet. Research has shown Olive oil consumption helps reduce bad cholestrol and garlic acts natural blood thinner.

On 18th April, we again visited the cardiologist and this time he was furious that we had ignored his warning and had not done the angiography. I thought we had delayed things and it could have aggravated the condition.

Since, my mother was covered through ECHS we visited the Command Hospital cardiologist. Based on the earlier reports he recommended to do a MPI scan at Manipal Hospital and prescribed meds for cholestrol and blood thinning.

We did the MPI scan in Manipal on Saturday and visited the command hospital on Tuesday with the reports. Interestingly, all the reports were normal and the cardiologist cancelled prior recommended medicines. I was confused I was expecting some abnormality and when I told the doc about the ECG observations 2 months back. He said as per the latest MPI report, every thing is normal.

I was amazed that if the initial ECG report was correct then the heart condition has improved naturally over the last 2.5 months.
